The ambience at the Captain's Table is nautical casual---I like it---always very comfortable. There was plenty of free parking, but we come in the off season.
So, for great oysters and any other kind of fresh seafood, you will not be disappointed. About 15-20 minutes from PCB, via the bridge---pretty easy to find.

Ask britt5678 about Captain's Table Fish House Restaurant We ate at both while we were in town and here is what we came up with. For our opinion The Captains Table edges out Hunts by a small margin for our taste. Both had outstanding service, great food and a small local atmosphere. The main reason we slightly preferred the Captain was the coating on the grouper. It was a little crunchier while Hunts had a little less coating. I suggest if you like a small local seafood place to try both and decide for yourself. Uncle Carnies is also nearby, but we didn't get to try it on this trip, maybe next time. One extra note, whichever you decide to try, get there early(before they open). They both fill up very fast with the locals and the tourists, which says something about the quality if they keep the locals coming in.
Ask Brian k about Captain's Table Fish House Restaurant We heard from the locals that if we really wanted good food to head to Captain's Table.
My husband used to go here with his parents, this was his first raw oyster eating experience, and he’s never had any better. The sea salt caramel pie was unbelievable, besides the raw oysters, that was the best thing we ate.
We arrived a bit before they opened at 11:00 and found a small crowd already gathered. Once inside, I ordered raw oysters and peel and eat shrimp, while my wife had the lunch special Fried Grouper.
My shrimp were large and prepared well (done, but not overdone and rubbery) but had a rather bland taste. My wife was disappointed in her Grouper, which she said had a rather strong “fishy” taste.

Captain’s Table More restaurant details Restaurant details Good for: Large groups, Local cuisine, Families with children Great oysters but not as reasonable as the shrimp boat across the street.
The lunch special is a bargain, offered fried or grilled with choice of two sides. Cod, scallops and shrimp were tasty and well cooked.
Owner was very pleasant and greeted us at the door. They even create their own sauces in house (tarter, rémoulade, and ranch dressing).
All the seafood was fresh and cooked properly. I know the prices are high for good seafood, and I am just a bit old fashion and think a family of 4 drinking water should be able to enjoy seafood for under $117.
Like I said the food is good, just be prepared for bill. Our party of four visited on a Monday evening and while we were seated promptly after arriving at 6, there was a pretty good line when we left.
This restaurant is a favorite of friends of ours and their meal and my wife's seafood platter were deemed excellent. Either my shrimp were not fresh, which I don't think was the case, or they were overcooked.
Chewy shrimp were not what I was expecting, especially since we were one block from the marina. Don't expect frills, but plenty of good southern seafood, especially a lot of fried offerings.
Judging by the number of locals eating there and the experience of the others in my party, I suspect my meal was more the exception to the rule. But I hope others are honest in their reviews, so I intend to be too.
We were told to try this place while on vacation in Panamanian Beach, it did not disappoint. Staff was super friendly, seafood fresh, and amazing oysters.
