Mix the Parmesan, remaining butter, mayonnaise, salt and pepper in a bowl. Return to air fryer and continue baking for 1 to 2 minutes or until golden brown.
After reading reviews about the recipe being bland I made some changes. I added salt and pepper to the egg wash. To the bread crumbs I added 2tsp of old bay, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1tsp paprika, and some salt & pepper.
01/10/2019 This was by far, the best fish I have ever eaten in my entire life. I bought a bunch of cod files because I wanted to make beer battered fish.
I fried some up in the deep fryer and the beer batter coating came off. That's when I found this recipe and I made one for myself, just to make sure they would turn out alright.
The only adjustment I made was that I used Too instead of vegetable oil because that's all I had on hand. A lot healthier than pan frying the fish.
I slightly modified the recipe for an even healthier meal. I also used salt and pepper on the filet before dipping in egg.
02/12/2020 We made the fish without any oil at all in the mix. I think next time we will try a little oil just to see if it is good that way too.
We served coleslaw, French fries, and tater tots with it. We have a freezer full of Halibut from our Alaska trip this summer and I wanted to replicate a delicious meal we had at the beach this past weekend at a nice Chinese restaurant.
I dipped the fillets in the egg and then the pinko crumbs and oil mixture and into the air fryer basket for 25 minutes. I can now have crispy Halibut when ever I want.
01/31/2020 Delicious way to make healthier fish. I didn't add the oil to the crumbs, instead sprayed it on before frying (so I used a lot less).
The texture of the fish is fantastic, but it's a little blah. I made this as written the first time, and today I added some granulated garlic, onion powder, black pepper, and smoked paprika to the bread crumbs...it's much better, but will add some salt next time.
Sometimes, though, we just don't like the idea of pulling out the big Dutch oven and filling it up with way too much oil. It is every bit as crunchy and the fish stays perfectly flaky.
Skipping the frying means no unnecessary oil and it takes less time! This ingredient shopping module is created and maintained by a third party, and imported onto this page.

Air Fried Fish is pretty easy and takes about four simple steps. The beauty with this recipe is that you don’t need any extra ingredients outside your typical fish breading and a little of oil in a spray bottle.
Spray your oil only halfway through cooking as this will increase crispiness. For whatever chemical reason, those things can take the coating right off your air fryer basket.
Do not overcrowd your air fryer basket or your fish will steam rather than fry. If flour spots are showing, you will not get that good golden color.
Rinse and pat dry your fish fillets with paper towels. Place fillets on a baking rack to allow any excess flour to fall off.
