Takeout, Outdoor Seating, Seating, Parking Available, Highchairs Available, Wheelchair Accessible, Serves Alcohol, Accepts Credit Cards, Table Service Reviewed 1 week ago I really don't understand the good ratings for this restaurant.
I'll start off with the fact I am not a face mask fanatic but really, in a small inside seating area with tables very close together the staff and...owner are running around without masks yelling over to various tables with no concern to the health situations we all face. Reviewed 1 week ago I love grouper so made sure to have it every day I was in Florida.
I had seen this restaurant featured on a TV show and also heard about it from some locals. As we walked in I noticed right away none of the employees, including the cooks, were wearing masks.
It was enough to make me just turn around and leave but I really had my heart set on eating here. The grouper was fried perfectly, nice and crispy with no oily or greasy texture.
Fried the same way and served on a fresh bun with lettuce and tomato. They had a dessert special of peanut butter pie which we tried and it was very good.
Served in an Oreo cookie crust it was creamy and delicious. The service was fine but nothing overly friendly or welcoming.
They have posted a sign on the door, that essentially says that your personal freedom is your choice to wear a mask or...not and God bless America with an image of the American flag. More Reviewed 2 weeks ago This place is like a little secret on 41.
Reviewed November 12, 2020, via mobile Amazing small restaurant. !we had the zucchini, blackened grouper and clam chowder.
Reviewed September 26, 2020, via mobile I was working today cleaning offices and had no time for lunch. I immediately thought Grover and Chips, family likes it, easy pick...up, always good.
However, it would be the most respectful and courteous thing to do at this pandemic time ! The only positive note was the key lime pie -excellent.
Ice tea lovers will find it great. The homely atmosphere of Grouper & Chips allows guests to relax after a hardworking day.
A lot of reviewers note that the staff is cool at this place. Google users granted the score of 4.6 to this restaurant.
Fish not fresh and batter was thick and hard fried.... Restaurant very small, and we chose to eat outside as the waitresses did not wear masks to serve. But I understand it is not a requirement for this county. Reviewed 30 June 2020 Ok lets first say, we get take out from this restaurant many times a year and it's always great.
Reviewed 17 June 2020 via mobile We have just visited today this establishment for a late lunch. My fist impression was that the restaurant was as described in trip advisor.
Reviewed 12 March 2020 via mobile A friend and I had dinner here on a Tuesday evening. This is a tiny place, with a few extra tables outside, bordering the parking lot and street, and we waited to a few minutes, which wasn’t a problem.
The prices are not inexpensive, considering it’s a serving of fish and limp fries, served with a small plastic cup of watery coleslaw and a smaller plastic cup of tartar sauce. I guess for my $15.95 they couldn’t throw in a small role like they did for the people at the neighboring table, who ordered their fish with pasta.
I did notice that the menu said if you wanted an extra roll, they charged an additional 75 cents! Wine is served in stemless glasses, no bottles sold.
Reviewed 9 March 2020 via mobile Delicious food and great service. I had to wait for a table because it does get crowded but still Is familiar, quiet and nice overall.

Rob Pool from Google my business (June 13, 2020, 8:00 pm) The fried zucchini appetizer was amazing! Fresh zucchini perfectly hand battered and even the horsey sauce was handmade.
It’s a fun busy place with the owner Pam running around taking care of all the customers. Times like these it’s important to support locally owned and operated business.
