This app has everything you need to know to get you up to speed on fish identifying and regulations that apply. Went first time confident I was doing everything right in the tangled up mess otherwise known as fishing regulations.
Please check the perfect 5-star rating score. There is a reason for that. It doesn’t need to be redesigned. Please finish your redesign project by leaving it alone. I wrote a review about problems with the app and one of the developers sent me a message about a server issue.
The latest FCC regs, so I know for sure what fish I can keep without risking any fines. The developer, Verona Solutions, LLC, has not provided details about its privacy practices and handling of data to Apple.

The Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission is pleased to announce the release of a new, cutting edge iPhone app that will empower anglers and hunters during their outdoor fishing and hunting activities in Florida. The new app is user-friendly, and allows visitors to purchase their fishing or hunting licenses online, access regulations, pull up a copy of the user's current licenses, and use geolocating tools to maximize a customers recreational experience.
Upon free download, users may purchase and download licenses and permits directly from their smartphone, determine sunrise and sunset time based on GPS location, access NOAA seas and weather information, and more! The Florida FCC has been a national agency leader in providing customers and visitors with the most robust technologies and systems to increase awareness and conservation amongst the natural resources community, opening up channels to customers to promote Florida's outdoors and preserve the sport of fishing and hunting.
Please add a feature to allow us to choose a location for sunrise and sunset!!!! The problem is that you have to have your “Location Services” on to find out what time the sunrise or sunset is.
Others may be flying in to South Florida for a fishing trip and want to know what time the sunrise and sunset will be... However, many features are not accessible when you are offshore, fishing, in an area without cellular coverage.
Additionally, the app would benefit greatly by having a fish identification library with large photos, rather than only relying on the small bitmaps in the linked regulation pamphlets... I wish there was an offline mode to store a recent copy of fishing regulations, etc. Also, when the app pulls data from the website some pages do not display correctly.

We were really after delicious pompano, and when he caught a small one I could not retrieve the minimum size limit from my memory. I pulled up Fish Rules, a free application designed by Jupiter -based ecologist Aubrey Arrington and his team.
I told him, “A lot of experience, plus these apps make it so easy to stay within the laws.” Anywhere you have that kind of diversity you have species that naturally have very different biological characteristics, such as rates of maturation and fecundity.
But Fish Rules covers saltwater species in state and federal waters. There are also apps designed by the South Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management councils that give clear, up-to-date regulations to anglers fishing in federal waters.
In order to give a fish that you must throw back the best chances for survival, you should leave it in the water while you look up the rules. Fish Rules App includes saltwater fishing regulations for Federal and State waters from Maine to Texas to Hawaii, and now includes freshwater for Florida.
Contact your local wildlife agency to partner with Fish Rules. Fish Rules App uses your phone's GPS and calendar to show only the regulations you need.
Manually select your fishing location to see relevant regulations. Crisp illustrations and great photos help you identify your catch.
