The Capt Ken's Clone Series Frogs are available to ship immediately any time. We have also added a tough new top coat finish to the Clone Series Frogs that has greatly increased the durability of the paint, eyes, and the FROG body.
It also greatly enhances the appearance and the “feel” of this Designer Bass FROG ™ Series. So, you still must place an order for those, giving explanation for what you would like and how you would like it made by phone or email.
The Work Schedule can vary on completion times required, depending on current demand. They may eat it in the air or come back for it when it falls into the water, but they often blast it without even opening their mouth.
It is available with all the Wing styles, including both natural and synthetic hair materials. The whole point to this hook style of Dragonfly is increased “finesse” during the presentation, especially while the lure is “skimming” over the surface of the water and weeds.
The hook can be lifted out of the water during the retrieve so that it does not interfere with the smooth skimming presentation, even while passing over lily pads and other weeds or cover. It is extreme finesse presentation, especially when you use the new smaller size Dragonflies over shallow, calm or clear water.
Watch for the many new videos that will be coming on YouTube demonstrating this new model and the standard belly hook models catching many bass and a surprising number of Big Bass, even on the smaller Dragonfly. Now that is a beautiful Bass in the photo above, especially for the state of Pennsylvania and especially to catch on a Dragonfly.
Ted Polanski caught this beautiful 3 pound small mouth which was his personal best in the state of Pennsylvania. Christian Boat right caught this Monster Bass in a lake near Pembroke, Georgia on a Capt.
Josh's Mom was ordering Frogs for her husband and mentioned the catch. I love seeing pictures even of smaller fish when they eat my lures, even if they are on someone else's hook.
It only takes a minute to switch to any style or material Wing set. The Brook Trout Pattern above has caught most of my bigger bass this last year.
The Weedless Fingerling Plugs are available in many patterns, and can also be customized to your needs. They are available in the Original SoftPLUG™ or the longer lasting Weedless Fingerling Earplugs.
The Earplugs have the great advantage of allowing you to change the tails in seconds. Changing the tail can extremely affect the “action” of the Weedless Fingerling Earplugs.
Either way, you can even add a spinner to “buzz” over the top of the weeds or “splatter” in a stop and go fashion. The new Capt Ken's Designer Bass Micro Frogs are finally ready for sale.
They have already scored a number big bass on ultralight tackle that you can watch get caught on YouTube, and more videos will be appearing as soon as I get a chance to publish them. The Designer Bass Micro Frogs are best fished on ultralight tackle or fly rods.
Check our YouTube Channel for the latest Micro FROG videos at My New Year's resolution this year is to return all the customer's old Big Bass Photos to the website, especially to the Frogmen Fishing Reports Page for the various states and a few foreign countries.
Some of the more impressive catches will be highlighted here first, and then added to their respective State webpages. I am starting with this gorgeous Big Bass from Texas which was caught by tournament Pro James Kaiser.
James caught this bass on Lake of the Pines during a Cicada hatch. The Cicadas were coming from the nearby Pine Trees and attracted bass in the area to the surface.
The FROG was bigger than the big bugs on the water, but James said, once the bass moved in for a closer look --- “they locked onto the leg action, and that took care of the rest”. Patrick Freeman liked the looks of an Original Series California Red Legs FROG for fishing in Louisiana and went right out after receiving them and nailed four 4 lb bass with it, proving that they will work well in Louisiana also.
They look similar to a Bull FROG, but they have some red in the back kicking legs. Hopefully, you have already seen my new YouTube Channel video about the Capt Ken's Designer Bass Casting Bugs.
Justin received his Capt Ken's Designer Bass Frog Original Series: California Red Legs FROG and a few days later he sent in this photo of another Big Bass. Billy Wilson bought his first Clone Series FROG back in July of this summer.
With the temperatures suddenly dropping and taking the water temperatures from 73 degrees down to 59 degrees, he has been surprised to discover that the FROG bite is still “on” He recently caught 20 bass on the top water Frogs under the much colder conditions. Billy is definitely stretching the limits of the top water FROG fishing season in Illinois, but he may be dreaming about jumping Bass and Dragonflies all winter this year.
Darrell Mollified is one of the founding members of the Tidewater Kayak Anglers Association, he was also one of my earliest customers for the Designer Bass Frogs. As you can see, his Original Series Bronze Spotted Leopard is still catching bass for him after all these years.
In the photo, below you can see the heavy pad cover Darrell had to pull this bass out of to get him into the kayak. Excellent is the only word to describe this kayak fishing photo.
You should really check out his FROG Fishing BLOG that he says was inspired by his love for the Designer Bass Frogs. This is a new feature on Capt Ken's Homepage, and it is just a teaser for the new webpage dedicated to the BLOG Page where more detail can be found on the current subject.
In this first conversation, I want to highlight a great customer who has an incredible ability to speak or demonstrate a product. I was really impressed with his upbeat presentation when speaking on the subject of Entrepreneurialism in the spirit of the best motivational speakers I've ever heard.
So, when Johnny later mentioned that he had made a demonstration video on his new Weedless Fingerlings Big Scale Shiner Hi-Resin Hard PLUG, I was very excited to see it. Note: We apologize that this site is still under construction, but it should get much better as we adjust to the new software.
If you’re a novice with a fishing pole, you’ve likely sat out on the water twiddling your thumbs, drinking beer, … For fly-fishing newbies, taking on the new method can be a bit overwhelming.
