After reading reviews about the recipe being bland I made some changes. I added salt and pepper to the egg wash. To the bread crumbs I added 2tsp of old bay, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1tsp paprika, and some salt & pepper.
01/10/2019 This was by far, the best fish I have ever eaten in my entire life. I bought a bunch of cod files because I wanted to make beer battered fish.
I fried some up in the deep fryer and the beer batter coating came off. That's when I found this recipe and I made one for myself, just to make sure they would turn out alright.
The only adjustment I made was that I used Too instead of vegetable oil because that's all I had on hand. A lot healthier than pan frying the fish.
I slightly modified the recipe for an even healthier meal. I also used salt and pepper on the filet before dipping in egg.
